Pamela Hashem

PRH Consulting Group, LLC is a national political fundraising firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Founded by Pamela Hashem in January 2003, PRH has a reputation for results driven, professional and ethical fundraising. Ms Hashem has a distinct approach to helping clients reach their fundraising goals. That approach is rooted in the belief that there are two clients in the fundraising equation, the candidate and the donor. Both are equally valued in the PRH business model. In the world of political fundraising, this is a unique idea but one that has enabled PRH to successfully meet the campaign goals of clients from local to national levels. 

This approach to political fundraising is paramount to her success in the industry and how she has been able to raise more than $40 million for her clients. Her relationships extend from Ohio to California, Florida, Arizona and New York where she has held fundraisers for her clients.

Pamela’s background and experience make her uniquely qualified to develop fundraising strategies and execute them.  With a Master’s Degree in Public Administration, Ms. Hashem has served as both a legislative aide as well as a lobbyist for a major trade association. 

More than just a fundraiser, Pamela has a comprehensive understanding of a wide variety of complex policy issues and is an expert on the political climate both in Ohio and around the country. Pamela holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Wright State University and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Bowling Green State University.

Pamela has served as a legislative aide to State Representative and Majority Leader Pat Tiberi, now a U.S. Congressman. After serving as a legislative aide to Representative Tiberi, she became the Finance Director for his first congressional race for the 1999 Primary and the 2000 General campaigns in which she directed a $2.3 million fundraising campaign (nationally, the second highest amount of money raised for an open seat).

In 2002, she directed the successful fundraising campaign of Lt. Governor Maureen O’Connor to the Ohio Supreme Court. This campaign raised more than $1.7 million, which broke state and national fundraising records.  In 2008 she lead Justice O’Connor’s re-election to the Ohio Supreme Court, raising $1 million in a tough political environment.

In 2004 Pamela directed the $1.5 million winning campaign for the re-election of Chief Justice Thomas Moyer to the Ohio Supreme Court and the $500,000 Ohio fundraising campaign for Congressman Dave Hobson. She also consulted on the winning campaign of Betty Ireland for West Virginia Secretary of State – the first female elected to an executive office in the state of West Virginia. In 2005, Pamela led a $3 million campaign to pass Ohio State Issue 1 – a bond issue supporting job creation and economic growth.

In 2006, the most challenging political environment Ohio Republicans faced in the past 16 years, all of PRH's candidates were victorious (Taylor for Auditor of State, O’Donnell for Supreme Court, Cupp for Supreme Court and Hobson for Congress). The firm raised more than $6,000,000 for its clients that year, including more then $2 million for Ohio State Issue 2 - the opposition effort to raise the minimum wage in Ohio.

In 2007, the firm continued fundraising for Auditor Taylor and Congressman Hobson. PRH also added to its client roster Rudy Giuliani’s Presidential Committee and Republican Leader of the U.S. House of Representatives John Boehner.  This year PRH lead an event in Cincinnati for Ohio’s Victory Committee with special guest President George W. Bush.  Events were also held for Republican Leader Boehner throughout Ohio in addition to, Arizona and Florida.

Last year brought the successful re-election campaigns of Republican Leader Boehner and Ohio Supreme Court Justice Maureen O’Connor along with Ohio State Issue 2, Citizens for a Clean Ohio.  PRH also spearheaded the Congressional Trust 2008 event in Cleveland, Ohio with special guest President George W. Bush and Republican Leader John Boehner.  The reception generated nearly $600,000 for Republican Congressional races in Ohio and around the country.

Current and past clients also include the Ohio Republican Party, the National Republican Congressional Committee, former U.S. Senator Mike DeWine and Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O’Brien.

Pamela has also served as the Director of Government Relations for the Ohio State Medical Association. As Director, she lobbied state and federal executive and legislative bodies on health-care issues.

In 2002, Pamela graduated from the Jo Ann Davidson Leadership Institute. Currently she serves as a member of the Board of the Capital Area Republican Women and has appeared on Ohio News Network’s Capital Square program as an expert on political fundraising.
