Pamela Hashem, along with panelists Mark Weaver, Derrick Clay and Greg Haas will participate in a discussion of Ohio’s historic role in the 2008 Presidential election. Sponsored by the Ohio Historical Society, the open discussion will be held at the OHS Auditorium on Thursday, September 18. There’s an old saying: “As Ohio goes, so goes the nation.” History instructs us that whichever presidential candidate carries Ohio will almost surely win the White House. Who will carry Ohio – political bellwether and “Mother of Presidents” – in 2008? Control of the Ohio House of Representatives and several Ohio congressional races also help make 2008 an interesting political year.
